Narration of recent events!

Well I did it! I barely did it, but little Luke is here. I had a terrible time getting the little guy out, but I'm doing better. Everything they did they had to do three times. Three IV's (those hurt like crazy too) Three epidurals (one that caused problems that if I move too quickly now I get a massive head ache, but it should heal in a couple days). Then when they went to do the c-section my epidural didn't work so they had to put me all the way under. Then they make you have contractions for 6 hours afterwards to help your uterus shrink, but that hurts. Then my IV clotted so they had to give me another IV, but she had to do that three times. I have brusies all along my arms. Needless to say I had a rough bout. My incision site is acutally doing pretty good. I walk like grandpa, but I get better everyday. I love my pain medication other wise I would be in so much pain. Little Luke is so stinkin' cute! He is so beautiful. He is a great baby. He eats like an animal which is nice. He sleeps really well at night too. Tad and I are feeling so blessed. Austin is doing remarkably well too with all of the adjustments. He loves his baby. He calls him "my baby" or "my Luke." Today when Tad and Austin got home from church the baby was asleep on the bed. I just watched as Austin sneaked up on the bed and went to the baby. Then he gently kissed his cheek and brushed the babies hair. It was so tender! I'm one lucky lady. I would go through the pain gain in a heart beat to get my little boy. Well we have had an exciting week. Having a c-section I can't do a whole lot so I feel bad. The body just simply says no! We have been so blessed with so much help though. We truly appreciate the meals, the help with the house, the company ect. I really enjoy the company. It makes me not feel as bad for doing nothing. Tad has been amazing too. When we got home he unpacked everything and started on laundry. I think his ovaries might be killing him:)
Oh yeah so we had a miracle. So I decided to have Mary drive Luke and I home since Tad had school in Boise. Tad felt kind of bad, but it just worked out the best. Well after Tad got out of class our car wouldn't start. He got it jumped. On the way to the dealership the car completly stoped. So he had it towed to the dealership and we are geting it fixed. We were so glad that I wasn't with him. If my mom picked me up then I would of had her drive the Accord home instead of the bumpy van. So either way I would have been stuck on the side of the rode with a sore body and a bran new baby. I was so glad that I was directed to call Mary and ask her. Plus the Volvo was a smooth ride!

Wow Megan,
You really had it rough. I am so glad you are doing better and are home with your little man. 3 IVs plus another one, and three epidurals. Oh my goodness. I cannot stand IVs. I would have wanted to kill that nurse. Ahhhhh. Well, keep off your feet as long as you have help. It will be for the best, and I don't think your helpers mind helping. Love, Stacy

That stinks that you had a rough delivery. At least having a precious boy makes it worth it. It is good that you have help. Take care of yourself!
