What do you do with a house full of boys....
SCOUTS!

Tad got the opportunity to go to Woodbadge a few weeks ago. We missed him terribly, but he learned a lot and had a great time. PS for all you Woodbadge people, Tad is a fox. I have no clue why this is significant, but apparently it is cool to say what animal you are.
So to put to use the great knowledge he has just obtained from Woodbadge he needed to do a camp out for his 11 year old scouts. As I'm sure anyone who has worked with youth and their families, finding the time to do a camp out was hard. So Tad's solution was to have it in our back yard so the boys who had to come late and go early could.

Here is a few pictures of the campout in the back yard:

(What a cute man!)

Austin thought he had died and gone to heaven. He spend most of the activities with the boys. He can not wait until he gets to be a scout himself.
Luke, well, he liked to stay in the warm cozy house with his mom. I really couldn't blame him. He watched the craziness from the window in his comfy PJ's.
Adorable:)
The campout was successful. And I will give a big cheer to the scout leaders wife who let the 11 year old boys cook in her kitchen... they had no clue the pain I was in hehe.

I give a big cheer to you as well! ....I think I would cry a little bit if a bunch of 11 yr olds were in my kitchen. Way to go Tad on attending Woodbadge and holding your own camp. My father would be oober-proud.
My Dad is a bear - which is somehow super cool as well. For his birthday last year I made him a build-a-bear scout but I made the scouting attire myself - badges and all. I said a lot of prayers that day, which I am sure is the only reason why it turned out. Anyhoo... He dug it. :) Sorry for the novel. Have a stupendous Thanksgiving!

I think your mother can envision the pain. Perhaps it's a little like watching you in her kitchen when you were learning to cook and the mess that ensued from your many efforts. You should thank your lucky stars that your mother tolerated the mess and let you become the wonderful woman and cook that you are today! I just had to give a little shout out to your amazing mother.
