Aliens Among Us

The boys informed me that they couldn't go outside and ride their bikes because their is aliens in this little shed that is by the garage. So I have pondered on that as some strange occurrences have happened. 

Yesterday, my kids were screaming and fighting over a dispenser of floss. Yup, you read that right floss! What the heck. Fight over a toy or a candy. But floss.  We ended up having to get out two packs of floss and write their names on them.  Luke carried his around for the rest of the day.  I know what your thinking, they must have some ulterior motives they use floss for. Nope they just like to floss their teeth. 

Next strange event: Scarlet Fever

 Let me tell you what, it itches like crazy. I know I'm itching my legs right now. It supposedly lasts for 7 to 10 days. The boys skin is doing much better and I feel mine on the mend.  When googling what was going on after the doctor told us it was Scarlet Fever rash we learned that 10% of people who have Strep Throat get Scarlet Fever.   Bring it on.

Another strange event:  I have been working with my kids on earning special things. Like a candy, popsicle, watching a show, playing on the computer etc.  They would do all of these things all day if I didn't monitor this. I fail often.  So my efforts lately have been for them to do a job and then they get it.  It is way more work for me, but I hope they are long term rewards for me.  So I had Austin mopping the kitchen floor today and Luke throws a 10 minute fit because he wanted to mop the kitchen floor.  Once again what the heck! 

Finally I have come to the conclusion that the aliens must be FLIES! They are everywhere. 

We are doing just fine here.  The bad smells (cat(s), old lady, old house, and mystery smells) from this house are dissipating.  I may have 3 different smelly units in one bathroom to make it possible for me to go in it, but hey whatever works.  Their are some great things about this house (lets focus on the positive shall we). Some of the great things are a remodeled kitchen that has a stove that gets hot.  I have enjoyed cooking on it. I also am enjoying the kids toys are right in the living room. This is very accessible for them to play and put away. Finally I'm enjoying A/C. We didn't have it in our old house and it makes for a happier mom when I'm not so hot. Surprisingly we have found that all of the boys in one room isn't a big deal.  So all in all we are doing great.
