Funny Children!

I don't know if every mom feels like their kids are so brilliant at entertaining them, but mine our. I woke up this morning to Luke. I got him out of bed trying desperately to get him to sleep just a bit longer since I was up with Austin. No go. So I let him roam around the room for a few minutes while I dreaded the thought of getting out of my warm bed. I had left down the tread mill yesterday. I sat up to check on the little man and their he is.. pretending to walk on the tread mill with a cheesy grin like 'look mom I'm like you.' Funny kid!

We had a great day of mess making yesterday. Tad came home to cake mess and lots of toys out. We had a great time! At one moment of the day I looked at my children (both of them humming ---like mother like son) just playing on their own so nicely. I had to take a picture.

Funny boy! Austin wanted to cut his own finger nails. I being a parent who wants her children to be independent, but safe had mixed emotions about it. I thought okay. So he cut his thumb. Then Mr. Independent had to put on the band aid himself. I had to document the good job!
We had so much fun with Courtney and Max last week.
We loved having them here. Come again soon!!!

Yes that is a pull-up bar in Austin's room. He has to be like Uncle Heber. Good guy to be like so we put up the bar.
We took cookies to all of the neighbors for family home evening. I'm trying hard to be proactive in my search for normalcy in this big move. I made the cake for a charity for developmental children. I didn't know that when I signed up for that, but I was glad when I found out what I really signed on for. Oh and Austin is pretending to eat the cake. Ha ha ha. What a corker!

I love looking at your blog - I miss you guys. The cake is beautiful - I can't see the top quite as good as I want to. The pictures of the kids playing makes me miss them the most.

That cake is darling and I'm impressed with your willingness to allow independence, I need to be better at that. I love the pull up bar too, does that hold any amount of weight, I really want one. Anyway, looking forward to seeing you all in just a month or so.

Wow what a cute kid, I mean yeah i guess yours are cute too!!! Just kidding, Thanks for having us stay at your nice new home, we loved it. And it was good to get away from the farm, our house, Nyssa, and I dare say troy for a few days. He really missed us, when we got home I had flowers, a movie and popcorn for a date at home, and Max got 2 color books, a bug juice, and mini M&M's, and we both had a card. If this is what it's like to come home I'm leaving more often.Your cake turned out really cute, is that fondant covered cake board? Did they auction you cake off how much did it go for?

It is so cool that you finally have the internet so I can see the wonderful things happening in the Baker household. Give those boys a kiss from their grandma. Beautiful cake. I want to wear it as well as eat it.

How would you feel about doing a demonstration/class on cake decorating when you come. I still really want to learn how, but I need to have someone hold my hand. I'm sure there are others who would love to try some things out. I know my mom would love to watch and we would all love to eat.

Let me know.

Your house looks fantstic and I'm glad you are all settled in. You'll have to see if Chad and Oleta Stanger are in you ward. They are Elliot's grandma and uncle and live in Iona.

Thanks so much for the phone call! When we are allowed to get out and about, we'll have to come visit you.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
