Nick's Wedding!

What a great weekend we had! First we drove to Alpine to stay at my sister-in-law's again. What a peach she is to put up with us. We have to go to other people house for them to get to ride the fun motorized toys. Of course my boys were in heaven.
Cousins + Fun Toys = Pure Bliss!

Here is the only picture of the cake I made for Nick's reception in Nyssa. It decided it didn't want to be stacked so it fell. Luckily it survived enough to be seperated with just flowers on it. It tasted good so I was thrilled with that. The bottom layer was poppy seed cake with a orange/almond cream filling. The second layer was chocolate cake with oreos and marshmellow/cream cheese filling. The top layer was vanilla with raspberry filling. Tad and Jocie were amazing to help me make it. As Austin would say they are, "The Bomb Digity!"
As a surprise my mom got Luke this little scooter. He was so excited to have a toy that he can actually ride.
Here is the quilt that I made for Nick and Kim. I was super excited with how it turned out. I think they liked it too.

Here is Nick and Kim eating their cake at their Utah reception. Their reception was at an amazing house (mansion). It couldn't have been more appropriate with all of the Michael Jordan paraphernalia for Nick.
Here is my family eating at the wedding breakfast at the Lion's House. It was yummy and fun.
Here is a few pictures outside of the temple. I love my sisters.

As you can see we had an amazing weekend with tons of traveling.

You are one talented Mama! The cake sounds and looks divine! And by the way, I don't own a quilt that says "The Cardons" so in all your spare time, why don't you whip me one of those up. It was fun to see you at the wedding luncheon. You are always so sweet!

Your cake is beautiful and your quilt is so so cute. I need you to give me lessons. I am sad I had to miss out on all of the fun. My mom said everything looked and tasted wonderful. I can't believe Nick is married - his wife is a doll! I love it all :)!

Okay, so random - but this site totally reminded me of you and your awesome talents. They had some fondant cake ideas too... which I am sure you are already familiar with :)

Anyway, enjoy.
