Potty Training?!?, Ice Cream, and Castles

Luke has been very interested in potty training. So we tried it. Have we had success yet?

No

Will we continue to try?

Yes, he is still interested. Therefore, any tips for kids who are interested be scared to actually make the move let me know. Of course we got the new underwear and the reward treats. He does great to sit their and sing songs, read book, etc. But then he holds it until bam he announces, "I went Poo poo." (Which means he peed because he is confused on the two.) He totally doesn't want to wear diapers any more unless he has to actually poo and then he gets scared and starts yelling "DIAPER! DIAPER!" Therefore, wish me luck. The best news is that I'm able to stay at home with him to give him my full attention. What a blessing! With Austin I just put it off because I worked.
Luke's new thing: Ice Cream Cones. He yells for them. When I say "No" you have already had two for the day, he helps himself to the carton, a spoon, and helps himself. Okay that is pretty darn cute. Very determined.
I'm selling this fun bakeware stuff called Demarle. It is cool because it is silicone pans that you never have to spray or flour. Not to mention they bake incredible. Well I found this cool thing about the pans. I could make candy in them and just slide it out. I thought this toffee turned out pretty. Therefore, just a little show and tell.
Finally, my builder Austin has been well.... building! He is doing Joy School and totally loves it. He goes with 5 other little neighbor girls and reports that he must do homework everyday. Like that happens:) This guy will be turning 5 next sunday. Where does the time fly? Well soon we will have fun pictures of hopefully what is an amazing superhero birthday party. Wish us luck!

Wow you do have a lot of things going on. Potty Training was my least favorite thing as a parent so far. Dre had a similar issue. He finally started going in the potty after he decided he wanted to go to preschool and had to be potty trained. Erin's Joshua wanted to go to the beach. Try to find something that he wants REALLY BAD and use that to inspire him. Good Luck!

Well, I have a mouse in my house and no man to kill it. This is a man's job and I totally resent the fact that it's all up to me. Wish me good luck.

I too hated potty training - it is the worst. I always had to spend the Thanksgiving or Christmas holiday to work on potty training. I did the mean version - sit there until you go even if it takes all day. Grandma Smith was a very strict teacher and I listened. I have no idea about what works - one day it just clicks. Good luck. Your children are adorable and I enjoy reading about your cute family. Keep up the great posts. They always add a little spice to my days.

Thank You. I laughed a couple times. London does the same thing with the ice cream always has and probably always will. I think Tad used to do it too.
Asher wants to potty train too. He does the exact same thing. He'll sit there until the urge is just to strong then pull his pants up and pee. He's also confused with which is which.
The picture of Austin with his building is priceless.

Thanks again.

Potty training is THE WORST...nuf said. However, if you stick with it he will definitely get it. I used the Dr. Phil method. It's actually on his website if you want to check it out. That toffee looks so cute. Why are you so darn creative?
